Last Laps
It's 3am, you've been in the snow and freezing temperatures for 3 days already, but looking up you see stars. You know the storm finally broke, ahead of you a 1,500' climb across some of the most dangerous terrain in Montana with nothing but your headlamp to guide the way.
Your gear and rations froze solid early in the night. As you melt some of your climbing equipment over a jetboil you mentally you steel yourself, for the climb to come. You know if you can make it to the top before the sun breaks the horizon it will all be worth it. If not you'll have to try again tomorrow...
